2018 Reading Goals

There are a fair number of books on my shelves that I gave wanted to read for a long time, yet I just haven’t read them yet.

For the last 2 months of the year I am going to try and read at least 5 of the books I have on this ever growing pile

Thone of Glass by Sarah J Mass and Six of Crows are both books that have been recommend to me which I then brought yet never read. It is my mission to read these before the end of November.

For December I would like to have read City of Ghosts by Victoria Schwab, Muse of Nightmares by Lani Taylor and The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman.

I do have other books which I’m currently reading/ listening too but I’m not particularly enjoying them.

The Birthday Girl by Carol Wyer is normally my kind of go to audio book, unfortunately though I’m finding it quite dull and slightly confusing (I’m pretty quick at crime books as I love to try and work it out as well)

I’m also buddy reading State of Sorrow by Melinda Salisbury which I received out of a Fairyloot box. I’m finding this book quite political and I just don’t enjoy these types of books.

With both of these I’m only around the 100 page so I’m not going to give them up, but I will have take my time with them (I don’t like holding up my buddy reader, but I’m lucky enough that she’s understanding)

Have you read any of these? Any you recommend?

  1. Buddy reader confirms, take your time! I’m all for taking it easy and enjoying yourself, otherwise I see no sense in reading as a hobby.
Yay for golden compass, I hope you get to it and enjoy it. Definitely a great winter read also!
